David Hirschfield & the ETC

David and his cohorts in the ETC (Entertainment Technology Center) at Carnegie Mellon put together this wacky news show last year, and Dave suggested that I put it forward as an example of his creativity. (David is a very creative person, as many of you know — dramatist, designer, writer, and humorist, among other occupations.)

Dave is heavily featured in the two segments below, as well as having contributed to them. I think he spent about a month perfecting the meteor crash, and it looks terrific. Other actors include Ian McCullough and the inestimable Don Marinelli.
